Human.

“I am human and I need to be loved, just like everybody else does.”

-The Smiths

To be a star is to project the illusion of perfection to the Commoners (people like you). It is to forget every instinct of human behavior and live as though of a higher race. Celebrities often are the subject of scandals, which are every day mistakes that Commoners make, but because of the illusion of higher grade the stars inflict you with, you see those mistakes as far more dramatic then they really are. Take People magazine for an example. Let’s have a little comparasion between Britney Spears and, let’s say, your mother. If your mother had a fit in the supermarket because you were running around throwing stuff in the air, the Commoners surrounding you would, neadless to say, not give a shit. BUT if Britney Spears had a fit in the supermarket because one of HER kids were throwing things around, well then it would be a national broadcast worthy piece of news that would end up, accompanied by all those very jucy photographs, on the cover page of People magazine.

Therefore, the principal works with love affairs and mariages. If your parents divorce, which they probably already have, a few friends will be touched and the rest of you will not care at all. BUT if Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt leave one another THEN we’re talking worldwide internet pop-ups announcing the boring news.

But see, what you need to realise in order never to become one of those (i’m not eve sorry if I offend any of them) mindless groupies, is that they are just as, and probably even more, human than you are.

They have feelings of anguish, stress, sadness, loneliness…they get laid, they get drunk, they get divorces. You get the point? They are human, just like you. They need to be loved.

P.S.
Now that that’s clear, let’s just say that there are OF COURSE exceptions. Some people are narcissists. They need nothing but their own perfection to be happy. That is a very small percentage of the population.
